College of civil engineering and architecture wins the 8th structural design competition of Henan Province

In the 8th "Lingyu Cup" Henan Province structural design competition for college students and Henan Province regional competition of national college students structural design competition, the team of civil engineering and Architecture College, led by Zhang Hui, won the first prize, the best production prize and the second prize respectively.

The theme of the competition is "design of the supporting structure model of the attached lifting scaffold". The participating teams should complete the design, production and loading test of the supporting structure model of the scaffold in accordance with the requirements of the competition subject, using limited materials within the specified time. With careful preparation, the team of civil engineering and Architecture College played in an orderly and steady way and successfully completed the production and installation of the model. In the model introduction and judges' questions, the team members' clear thinking and concise language won bursts of applause. In the subsequent model loading, the perfect scheme and accurate operation helped the team members get good scores. With the joint efforts of the instructor and the team members, Liu Hongwei, song Yuhang and Peng Jia won the second prize. Zhang Zhiwei, Zheng Wanzhou and Wang Bingbing won the first prize and the best production award, and were qualified for the national competition.

The structural design competition for college students aims to train the participants' abilities in structure, materials, mechanics, design, production and use of professional software, expand the knowledge of civil engineering students, and cultivate the participants' team cooperation ability and language expression ability. The team members have achieved excellent results in unity and continuous progress, and they also feel the depth and charm of civil engineering.
