On March 23, Professor Cui Kai of Lanzhou University of technology was invited to the lecture hall on the second floor of the 16d Structure Laboratory of our college to give an academic report entitled "thinking on the development characteristics of soil ruins diseases in arid areas". Vice president Zhang Jianwei and some teachers and students of civil engineering major attended the report meeting, which was presided over by President Professor Yue Jianwei.

  First, President yuejianwei introduced Professor Cui Kai's major academic experience and achievements, and on behalf of the college, he extended a warm welcome to Professor Cui's arrival. After that, the lecture officially began.

Based on the evolution history of human labor tools, Professor Cui introduced the concept of "earth site" from the perspectives of productivity development, lifestyle change, construction technology and material change. The paper explains the present and previous life of earth sites in detail, explains the reasons and processes of the extinction of soil sites, explains the development history and discipline system of the earth site protection science, expounds the types and characteristics of the development of soil site diseases, and shares some unique opinions on the future soil site protection technology with the teachers and students.

  After the report, the participants and teachers exchanged with Professor Cui on the protection of the soil sites in Central Plains, especially Kaifeng area. This report will broaden the academic vision of teachers and students, and open up ideas for the protection of soil sites in the region.
