On November 25, composite materials for civil and marine applications, an overseas high-level cloud course to be held by our college for postgraduates, was approved by the second overseas cloud class of Henan University of Henan University. This course is planned to be taught
online from January 11, 2021, from 8:30 to 12:30 every morning. Professor Youhong Tangof
Flinders University in Australia is invited to this course.
Youhong Professor Tang obtained his Ph.D. from Hong Kong University of science and technology in 2007, and transferred from the center for advanced materials technology of the University of Sydney to Flinders University in 2012. He is deputy director and tenured professor of materials science and engineering laboratory. In recent five years, he has published 120 SCI papers, published 2 monographs, participated in the compilation of 9 textbooks, and obtained 8 funds from Australian Research Council and other sources The total amount is more than a $10 million. Research interests mainly focus on the structure process performance relationship of polymer materials and nanocomposites; fiber reinforced composites and structures; biomaterials
and biosensors.
This course mainly introduces the application and frontier research of fiber reinforced composites in civil engineering, construction engineering and ocean engineering. It mainly includes the following aspects: overview of composite materials; application of composite materials in civil, architectural and marine engineering; design theory and practice of composite materials in civil and marine engineering; performance test standards and criteria of composite materials in civil and marine engineering; manufacturing process and quality control of composite materials in civil and marine engineering 。
