The 13th alumni forum held by the school of civil engineering and architecture

At 3:00 p.m. on May 22, the school of civil engineering and architecture held the 13th alumni forum in the lecture hall on the second floor of the structural experimental building. In this forum, song Danqing, a postdoctoral assistant researcher of Department of water conservancy and Hydropower Engineering of Tsinghua University and a 2008 grade alumni of civil engineering major of our college, was invited to give a lecture. Some teachers and students of our college participated in the forum. The forum was presided over by Mr. Yang Weihong, director of alumni office of our college.

This forum focuses on exchange and interaction. Song Danqing introduced his study experience from Henan University to Tsinghua University, and told the students about his many years of experience and feelings. He said that at this stage, college students should focus on their studies, master solid professional foundation and excellent professional skills, and cultivate social practice ability and ability to solve practical problems, so that they can be handy in work. He stressed that students should pay attention to the cultivation of autonomous learning ability, which will have a profound impact on adapting to the rapid development of science and technology and acquiring new knowledge. Autonomous learning ability will benefit people all their lives. He also emphasized the importance of tutor's professional level, innovation ability, work responsibility and ethics for personal growth and development by describing the influence of tutors he met in each stage of his study. Finally, he encouraged the students to study hard and keep forging ahead. On the basis of improving their knowledge level, they should broaden their horizons and patterns, and be useful to the country.

This forum has promoted the emotional exchanges among alumni, and at the same time, it has made the students present have a clearer understanding of their future study planning and employment intention, helping them to make every step in the future.

Resume of song Danqing

Song Danqing, male, was born in December 1989. He is a 2008 grade alumnus of civil engineering major of School of civil engineering and architecture, and a postdoctoral and assistant researcher of water conservancy and Hydropower Engineering Department of Tsinghua University. He has been engaged in slope, tunnel and underground engineering research for a long time. He graduated from Lanzhou University with a master's degree (Tutor: Professor Wang Zhiqiang, vice president of the general water Planning Institute of the Ministry of water resources). He graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University with a doctor's degree (Tutor: academician Ge Xiurun). Now he is a postdoctoral / Assistant Researcher of the Department of water resources of Tsinghua University (Tutor: academician Zhang Jianmin). He has been nominated for outstanding communist party member, outstanding Party branch secretary, three good students, Zhao Zhu Mulan scholarship, Golden branch civil engineering scholarship and Tsinghua University Excellent postdoctoral award. 35 SCI / EI papers (27 SCI papers, 8 top journals and 2 highly cited ESI papers) were published by the first / corresponding author in authoritative journals such as landslides, engineering geology, rock mechanics and rock engineering, Acta geotechnica. As a reviewer of SCI journals. He has presided over 5 national / provincial vertical projects and participated in 4 national projects. He has been selected into the "Shuimu scholars" program of Tsinghua University, the "postdoctoral innovative talents support program" of the Ministry of human resources and social security, and the "excellent Chinese and foreign youth exchange program" of the China Association for science and technology.
