College of civil engineering and architecture wins the prize in BIM graduation design of national colleges and Universities

In June 2020, the sixth GuangLianda National University BIM graduation design innovation competition and the sixth "Luban Cup" National University BIM graduation design competition officially ended! The 2018 civil engineering teams "Bianliang seven stars" and "Tokyo five Fuwa" led by Mr. He Ziqi won the second prize of Guanglianda graduation design innovation competition, the second prize of Luban cup housing construction competition, and the third prize of special BIM application competition. This is a good news for our students after winning many undergraduate graduation design awards.


The Guanglianda national BIM graduation design innovation competition (undergraduate group) participated by "Bianliang seven stars" team officially started the registration on November 1, 2019 and ended in June 2020. The competition includes seven modules: BIM modeling application, BIM cost management and BIM based digital construction organization design. Affected by the epidemic situation, our school contestants overcome multiple problems such as insufficient equipment configuration, and the team submitted the results on time (including Revit, magicad, BIM installation and measurement gqi, zebra network plan, BIM civil engineering measurement gtj, cloud pricing, BIM construction site layout, BIM formwork scaffold design, BIM 5D, BIM make, etc.). Finally, under the guidance of he Ziqi, the Bianliang Seven Star team composed of students Song Tao, Hao mengxiang, Chen Tianci, Ma Fudong, Wang Xinfei, Xin Yiwen and Zuo Tiantian won the second prize in the D module "5D construction management based on BIM".

The "Luban Cup" BIM graduation design competition of national colleges and universities participated by "Tokyo wufuwa" team officially started the registration on October 1, 2019 and ended in June 2020. The competition includes five modules: BIM modeling, special BIM application, whole process BIM application, indoor BIM application and BIM innovative application. After eight months of full preparation, the team submitted the results on time (including a complete Revit model, a 5D schedule model combined with pricing software, a complete collision hole height inspection report, a multi-path roaming inspection video in the model, a multi-stage site layout model, etc.). Finally, the team of "Tokyo wufuwa" composed of he Ziqi, Wan Haitao, Yang Shilin, Yuan Baichun, Chen Liuwei, Hou Shanjun and Ma Yihai won the second prize and the third prize respectively in the application of A1 housing construction module and B1 special BIM.

At present, the application value of BIM Technology in the field of engineering construction has been recognized by the industry all over the world, and has been rapidly developed and applied in engineering projects. Since 2015-2019, the national BIM graduation design innovation competition has been successfully held for five consecutive years. There are more than 1500 participating institutions, more than 20000 professional teachers and more than 50000 students. More than 5000 excellent BIM works have been submitted. It has become an excellent platform for BIM exchange and learning between teachers and students in colleges and universities. With the holding of the competition, many enthusiastic BIM Technology Innovative and compound talents were found, which stimulated students' enthusiasm for practical innovation ability and professional knowledge, deepened their mastery of professional skills and new industry technologies, improved college students' employment and entrepreneurial ability, provided new ways for BIM Technology Colleges to explore the application, and provided new courses and topics for BIM Technology The research provides ideas to improve the employment rate and quality of students.


In recent years, our college has actively organized students to participate in BIM professional skills competition, and achieved excellent results, which has effectively promoted the cultivation of professional talents and the construction of teaching staff. Through this competition, the students further learned the professional theoretical knowledge, which not only expanded their professional knowledge vision, but also deepened the friendship between the students, enhanced the communication between the students, and enhanced their practical technical ability. In the future, our teachers and students will continue to work hard and strive to achieve better results.
