In order to adapt to the teaching reform of higher education, further improve the teaching skills and abilities of teachers in our college, promote the professional development of teachers, improve the comprehensive quality of teachers, and strengthen the construction of the teaching team, the College of civil engineering and architecture held the "fifth young teachers' lecture competition" on August 25. The judges of the competition are mainly composed of department directors and winners of the special prize of teaching quality of Henan University. The activity is presided over by Zhang Dawei, vice president of the college. The team members and young teachers of the college have an on-site observation.
The participants of this competition are young teachers under 40 years old who have not won the second prize of school level teaching quality. During the competition, the judges randomly select one of the three core chapters of the semester from the participating teachers.
Before the competition, every teacher made serious preparations. After the completion of each teacher's lecture, the judges and college leaders made detailed comments from different aspects, such as teaching attitude, appearance, teaching design, teaching methods, language expression, teaching effect and so on, combined with the teacher's lecture performance, and put forward suggestions, which pointed out the direction for teachers to improve teaching methods and enhance classroom teaching ability in the next step.
Different from the previous College Lectures competition, this competition has added a part of observation class, which is demonstrated by Li Bin and Zhang Yizhong, the winners of the special prize for teaching quality. Through the on-the-spot teaching of the two teachers, the young teachers not only experienced their teaching style intuitively, but also played the role of "pass, help and lead" by teachers with rich teaching experience.
After the lecture competition, President Yue Jianwei made further requirements on how to deepen the teaching reform of higher education, better promote the professional construction, recognize the form of education development, and establish a sense of competition and crisis.
Secretary Li Shejiao fully affirmed the performance of the participating teachers, further stressed the important role of Ideological and political education in the curriculum, and required teachers to take "moral education" as the fundamental task of education, and strive to build a "three all education" pattern of all staff, the whole process and the whole curriculum.
The annual lecture competition of the college is not only a test of young teachers' teaching level, but also a platform for young teachers to learn, observe and show their teaching skills. Through the competition, the training of young teachers' basic teaching skills has been strengthened, and the growth of young teachers has been promoted as soon as possible. At the same time, through the competition, the foundation of teacher training has been continuously consolidated to promote the comprehensive development of the college.
