From 3 to 5 p.m. on November 26, Professor Wei Yingqi, Associate Professor Cheng Xiaohui of Civil Engineering Department of Tsinghua University and deputy director of Geotechnical Engineering Research Institute of China Academy of water resources and hydropower Sciences, was invited to give a speech entitled "a feasibility study of high strength micp based soil" in 606 of 16b smart classroom of our institute "Improvement" and "special test technology and experiment of large geotechnical centrifuge". Professor Yue Jianwei, President of the Institute, presided over the symposium, which was attended by some teachers and students of civil engineering.
President Yue Jianwei solemnly introduced the academic achievements of Associate Professor Cheng Xiaohui and Director Wei Yingqi to the teachers and students present, and extended a warm welcome to them on behalf of all the teachers and students.
Associate Professor Cheng Xiaohui explained the development process, action mechanism and possible application fields of micp technology to you. By comparing the restoration pictures of broken jade by epoxy resin, cement and micp, the advantages of micp in the restoration of ancient relics were shown from the perspective of strength and aesthetics. The feasibility of high-strength micp foundation treatment was analyzed from the material and engineering dimensions respectively. Conclusion Based on the research results of the research team in recent years, we shared the application of micp in anti liquefaction, fixation of heavy metals in soil and durability of micp grouted sandstone. Finally, Professor Cheng stressed that before the large-scale application of micp technology, there are still many problems to be solved, and the collaborative efforts of researchers with different knowledge backgrounds are still needed.
Wei Yingqi first introduced the experimental principle, necessary supporting equipment and experimental parameters of geotechnical centrifuge, and the development history of large-scale geotechnical centrifuge. Then he shared the experience of large-scale geotechnical centrifuge in static experiments (such as the puncture mechanism of sandwich soil self opening drilling platform, the horizontal bearing capacity of seabed gravity anchor, dam break experiment, pollutant transport) and dynamic experiments (such as sand blasting pit formation, water quality control, etc.) Finally, Director Wei Yingqi mentioned that because the real centrifugal experiment process is very short, the experiment lasted a few seconds or even less than one second, due to the limitation of data acquisition technology, some experimental data obtained at present still deviate from the actual situation; this problem is expected to be solved when the data acquisition technology develops to a certain height.
